A New Journey

I've decided to start blogging again!  I enjoyed documenting a little bit of our life on my previous blog. It is fun to go back and look at the pictures and entries about that time in my life.  This blog will be a little bit different.  My kids are older, and we live in a different town.  Our days don't look the same as they used to.  Relationships have changed.  Life is more complicated now, but in some ways richer.  We have grieved the loss of my mother.  We have been caring for my elderly father.  We have had to make hard decisions for my Dad.  He is living in an apartment close to my sister now.   We have had to deal with broken relationships.  The last four years have been a difficult journey in some ways, but in many ways I am very blessed.  I have a hard working husband who loves God and takes care of his family.  When I am stressed, he rises to the occasion to try and fix things for me.  My two children have matured and learned to serve their grandpa.  I have seen my daughter stand strong for her faith and not follow the whims of her friends.  My son is learning to take school seriously and is working harder on his schoolwork. We have spent a lot of time with my Dad and learned a lot about his family history.  We have developed some sweet friendships at our church and have enjoyed fun times with our church and homeschooling friends.  I know that God is in control and loving us even through the hard times.  I know that someday I will enjoy looking back at this blog as well.  I will feel nostalgic and will wonder how the time flew by so fast.  And hopefully, this blog will help me to process some of the difficult times and will help me to see how God is working in our lives.
